Oil-Based Graphite
A graphite product in an oil carrier, used as a release and lubricating agent.
Oil-based graphite is a lubricating and release product made by dispersing graphite powder in an oil-based carrier. The low-friction layer of graphite combines with the oil that helps it adhere to the surface, forming a protective film on moving parts and mould surfaces.
In foundries it can be used as a release agent on mould, permanent mould and pattern surfaces and for lubricating equipment working at high temperature. Application method (brush, spray) and consistency are chosen according to the point of use.
Product properties and the suitable type are shared on request. As it contains oil it is flammable; store in a closed container away from heat sources.
