Mould and Core Bonding Paste
Paste used to bond core sections together and to seal gaps at mould joints.
Mould and core bonding paste is used to bond sectional cores together and to seal gaps at mould and core joint faces. This prevents molten metal from seeping into the joints and forming fins.
The paste is applied as a thin layer on the joint surface and the parts are pressed into place. Once dry it maintains core integrity and makes the joint tight without blocking gas escape during pouring. Product properties are shared on request so that a type suited to the sand binder system and the metal poured can be selected.
Store in the closed container in a dry, cool area. After application, excess paste should be cleaned off so that no residue is left on the surface.
