Synthetic Sand Release Agent
Release agent that lets the pattern separate cleanly from the sand in synthetic sand moulding.
Synthetic sand release agent is a thin release film applied to the pattern surface to prevent the sand mould from sticking to the pattern. It reduces sand pick-up when the mould is stripped and helps produce a clean mould surface and pattern detail.
The agent should be applied to the pattern surface by spraying or wiping as a thin, even layer. Excess can cause staining on the sand surface and defects on the casting surface, while too little causes sticking.
A type suitable for the pattern material (wood, metal, plastic) and the sand system should be selected. A trial before use and following the product instructions is recommended.
