Al Filter Series
Alumina based foam filter that retains oxides and inclusions in aluminium and light alloy casting.
The Al filter series consists of alumina (Al2O3) based ceramic foam filters. In the casting of aluminium and light alloys they are used to retain oxide films and other solid inclusions formed in the molten metal within the gating system.
Clean, calm flow reduces porosity and the loss of mechanical properties caused by oxides. Filter size and pore density are selected according to runner size, casting method (sand, permanent mould, low pressure) and the required metal cleanliness.
Size and pore options are supplied on request.
