Conical Feeder Sleeves

Conical feeder sleeves are exothermic sleeves of tapered form whose section narrows upward or downward. The conical form makes it easier to place the sleeve on the pattern and to seat it in the sand during moulding.

Their exothermic structure keeps the metal inside the sleeve molten longer. Using a smaller feeder raises metal yield and lowers feeder fettling cost. A narrow contact area with the part makes knocking off and cleaning the feeder easier.
